5 Ways To Create Discoverable Videos

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4193" post_id="4193"]

We have been hearing that video is the way to go and we need to start creating more videos if we want to get leads or sales for our businesses.

What people are not talking about is creating discoverable videos beyond social media.

As business owners, we need to ensure that our videos are surpassing the shelf life of social media. We need to be creating videos and distributing them on platforms that are connected to search engines and mechanisms to be found for years to come.

How many times have you Googled something and got an answer from a video that was 6+ years old? Happens all the time but not on social media.

So in this episode, we dive into the 5 places you should be distributing your videos and some strategies to maximize your video discoverability.

Why TTT’s Social Influencer Segments Were Trash

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4190" post_id="4190"]

TTT recently did their Generation Next segments with Khary Roberts diving into the world of Social Media Influencers and interviewed 2 popular ladies on IG.

The segments in my opinion were really really bad. The purpose of the segments was to highlight how people could become social media influencers and how to turn this into a way to make money.

Unfortunately, they missed the mark entirely. There was no homework done on the industry to have a good conversation to actually help people learn how to turn this into a viable business.

Instead, we got 2 segments where they interviewed 2 ladies who highlight everything that is wrong with Social Media and why marketing agencies have lost faith in working with people with large followings.

They also focused on only 1 way to make money, which was to work with brands. Not only is that the lowest hanging fruit, but it is also the most inadvisable way for popular people to make money on social media.

We dive deeper into the topic in this episode.

Covid Kicked My Ass But I’m Okay!

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4188" post_id="4188"]

Apparently, the good Lord knew I needed to disappear for a bit and stop working and he also knew that I wouldn’t just pick up myself and disappear for a few works.

So he sent Covid for me to ensure that I took a much-needed vacation from the interwebs lol.

Folks, I have been gone for a few weeks because I ended up getting Covid and it kicked my ass for 10+ days.

I am however on the mend, at the time of making this episode I’d safely say that I am at about 80% and thankfully no hospitalization was needed.

I just wanted to talk a little about my experience and dive into why you haven’t seen me since the beginning of the month.

I encourage everybody to continue doing their due diligence, sanitize, build your immune systems and keep safe during these Covid times.

Should Caribbean Businesses Stop Using Instagram?

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4177" post_id="4177"]

If you are a Caribbean-based business then nobody needs to educate you on how frustrating it has become to use Instagram to build your business.

You follow all the gurus, the experts, hire coaches and then begin to realize that all of the things they are teaching you in order to grow your brand exponentially are with tools or features that are not available in the Caribbean region.

At this point, to hope and pray for features to come to the Caribbean is foolish and you cannot build a business plan around the things you do not have access to.

That being said, when you start looking at all of the digital channels you can have or the other social media platforms that offer specific benefits, it may be time to start evaluating your digital strategy.

Linkedin, TikTok, Facebook and Youtube offer major benefits for Caribbean businesses and creatives that aren’t available to us here in the Caribbean.

In this episode, we dive into detail why we should begin weening ourselves off of Instagram before it’s too late and how the other social media and digital channels can be used to help grow our businesses in a big way.

How Facebooks “Meta” Impacts The Caribbean

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4174" post_id="4174"]

I’m sure you have heard by now that Facebook has rebranded under the new name “Meta”.

This is not just a facelift because of legal troubles but represents a major change in their direction and how we understand exactly what the new company is all about.

To me…This signals the mainstream launch of Web 3.0.

I dive into my first thoughts and how I believe this announcement will impact the Caribbean region.

Technology is going to continue to allow the region to play big but we need the people of the region to put themselves into a major major learning mode in the biggest way possible.

We can’t afford for the gap to continue to increase on us.

In this episode, I brainstorm a few different ways that Meta impacts the Caribbean and give some examples of how I believe the technologies can be used to enhance what we do in the Caribbean.

From Augmented and Virtual Reality, NFT’s, Crypto…there is so much that the new Metaverse signifies for the growth of the Caribbean.

The Digipreneur Foundations Workshop Series

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4171" post_id="4171"]

Looking to grow your brand, business, spread your message, generate leads or sales?

To do all of that digitally, there are things we need to put in place that goes beyond the realm of social media.

I call it our Digital Foundations.

A website is not a static brochure to display a product or contact info…It is the #1 Employee and Sales rep for your brand. It collects data, shows up in front of people who are looking for things related to your niche, takes your bookings and makes you money.

For your website to do this, you will need to learn how to extract data from the search engines to craft the right content and optimize your pages to be found via the search engines.

Your Blog or Post Section should be getting the most love on your website. This is where you create content on your website from the written blogs, audio and video posts. Learning the type of content to create, optimizing them for search and how to properly distribute it on the various digital channels is a key part of success.

So join me on Oct 23, Oct 30, Nov 6 for the Digipreneur Foundations Workshops…Each session builds on top of the other.

To register for the workshops or get more info, visit The Digipreneur Foundations Workshop Series.

I look forward to seeing you there.
