8 Marketing Lessons I Learned From Battle Rap

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4168" post_id="4168"]

In Ep 41, I dive into marketing and branding lessons that I learned from watching a battle rap interview and the boxing match between Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder.

What really stuck out for me was the content business model, the importance of your own platforms in order to have more control over key elements in your business, that talent isn’t enough to win and that ultimately building a brand surrounding your talent is the key to digital success.

Battle Rap and the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder fight were watched for my own escapism this weekend and I ended up having to pull out the notepad to take down some really good lessons.

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4146" post_id="4146"]

Flow Business & BTC have come together to put forward a really good month-long series to help Caribbean businesses out in a big way.

I decided to dive into what the series is all about because I believe it’s going to be one of the better and more important series of events for Caribbean Businesses this year.

There are going to be keynote speakers from Alison Hinds, Grace “Spice” Hamilton, Natasha Mayne and Tricia Coosal.

The hands-on workshops will be done by Virgin Atlantic, Wipay, Caribshopper and myself…Keron Rose.

The goal is to give Caribbean Entrepreneurs & Businesses the much-needed guidance in building their digital presence, marketing their business, creating their own platforms, export their products and get paid globally.

The event is also free and will happen on October 8, 15, 22 and 29th.

There is also going to be a contest to pitch your business and win a $15kusd cash prize for your business and much more.

To register for this event…Go To FlowBusiness.co/Events

How I Hit 30kusd Profit In 1 Month

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4144" post_id="4144"]

This was 5 years in the making but the month of Sept allowed me to hit my highest month in profit within my business.

I was able to hit over 30kusd profit with my ecosystem of products & services.

One of the best things I did during this journey is learning how to monetize your content and scale your business through digital products & services.

When I started off my business Droid Island, I learned real quick that with a brick and mortar store, there are just so many costs associated with running it and any disruption in the value chain can throw off your costs or delivery times to your consumers.

Becoming a 100% digital business, allowed me to scale and put more profit into my bank.

While I know we have people on Linkedin making a heck of a lot more lol…we all have to start somewhere and I’m glad to have hit this milestone in the middle of this pandemic.

Is Entrepreneurship For You?

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4142" post_id="4142"]

Want to hear some good and bad news?

Remember the “New Normal” that you have been hearing about for some time now?

Well, we are transitioning again to another new normal and who knows how society has been reshaped whenever we finally get past the pandemic.

With costs of goods/services raising and industries being transformed, I have been starting to feel more and more that the only way for people to be able to ride the upcoming waves, is by learning how to tap into our suppressed entrepreneurial spirit and learn how to generate new revenue streams for themselves and families.

Entrepreneurship is something that needs to be taken more seriously during these times, especially because people are becoming discouraged by the limitations of the current job market. Not everybody will be able to get a job but everyone can leverage their knowledge and skills to create revenue.

The good news is that we have so many ways to learn new skills and we are no longer limited to only the opportunities presented in our countries.

So whilst many of you are not interested in building a fortune 500 company, learning how to tap into our entrepreneurial spirit and find creative ways to generate money needs to become a priority moving forward.

Sunday Motivation: Audit Your Social Media

[podlove-episode-web-player publisher="4128" post_id="4128"]

In this segment of our Sunday Motivation, I wanted to share with you a download I received today.

Audit Your Social Media!!!

When is the last time you sat down and intentionally went through your social media and began removing or muting content or people, that no longer serve where you are in your life?

This is a critical practice to be done, especially due to the amount of time we are spending on social media.

Enjoy this episode, I kept it short and sweet.
